Try turning off hardware accelerated display in the composition settings in Ae preferences.

Thanks for reaching out. Could you share your system specification (CPU, GPU, RAM and OS version) so we can troubleshoot the preview issue with After Effects? Try switching the renderer to Mercury Software Only (File > Project settings) and check if it helps with After Effects.

Thanks for the responses. I switched to Mercury Software Only but that didnt work. below is a screenshot of my system specification. Would appreciate help on this. Sorry about the delay in response, was away for the holidays.

 

Update: Anything less than 200% preview and it goes blurry.
