Question

Edit effect properties on multiple layers at once

Hi

Let's say I have two or more layers with a gussian blur effect called "Gaussian Blur". If I select all layers with the same effect and effect name, and edit the values in the Effects Controls panel, then the value should change for all seleceted layers.

Or in some other way achieve the same.

Thanks,

Jakob Wagner

There is no direct option to do this. This is a strange behaviour cause if you select multiple layers and apply a single effect for the first time, you can control all the effects at once but once you deselect the layers and try to do exactly the same by selecting them again it will not work.

Adding another solution: you can do is to select the effect and use the command Edit > Copy with property links. Once pasted over other layers, the controls for the effect remains on the original layer but any change will be applied to all the linked effects.

You can already do this by applying expressions and linking them or using Essential Graphics:
