Error Snap Clips After Effects

'o' is designed to snap to the last frame of a layer rather than the first frame after the layer. Here are some screenshots demonstrating what I mean. It can be a bit confusing coming from Premiere.

For shift dragging can you give me some more information to help me recreate the problem on my computer?

- Do you have any other layers or keyframes in the comp?

- Are you using any time-stretching?

- What are the frame rates of your comp and footage?

Zack, watch again "o" is'nt getting at the end and (zooming show its one more frame) Shift at dragging is Not snaping" either correctly you see there are 3 frames before 3!...
What this mean? for the "o" example I will be missing 1 frame and for the shift & dragg there will be a 3 empty frames a black screen for 3 frames.

And this my client will return my video in animation and video you can't have this errors. (you can Not hide that in the final render)
Please check again, make your own test and you will see I don't lie.

But even if watching the video all I have is this... I just don't know.

'o' is the right shortcut for snapping to the out point of a clip and shift is correct for snapping to things in the timeline.

From watching your video, 'o' is acting correctly. The behvior is bit different than Premiere. After Effects displays whole frames on the timeline when you're zoomed in all the way. When you press 'o', the timeline indicator will be at the beginning of the last frame of your layer. Frames are indicated by the higlighted area to the right of the timeline indicator. You can verify that you're at the end of a layer by moving one frame to the right with cmd/ctrl right arrow. The comp viewer should no longer show the contents of that layer.

Holding shift in Ae will cause layers to snap to anything in your timeline, including markers, layers, or keyframes. So when you dragged, it's possible it snapped to something else.  Do you have any other items in your timeline your layer could've snapped to?
