Hi,
I am trying to export my file as an animated gif with a transparent background.
As a workaround I have followed a tutorial that tells me to export it as a quicktime .mov file with RGB + Aplha selected then open it in photoshop and export as a transparent GIF. When I try to open the .mov file I have exported I get this error message...
The document “Brealabane_Logo_Cropped.mov” could not be opened.
When I try to open the .mov in photoshop I get this message...
Could not complete the Video Frames to Layers command because the file could not be opened.
I am using Mac Catalina v 10.15.7, After Effects v17.7.0 and Photoshop 22.2.0.
Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks,
Jackie

PS will import image sequences just fine and AE spits them out in many formats, including native PSDs. There#s your answer.

Quicktime is a Container/FileFormat and may contain/use/include a number of CODECs as it's source file/frame/pixel/encoder|decoder. Not all QuickTime CODECs are supported by Photoshop. For clear compatibility, use the Animation CODEC when saving/exporting/rendering/encoding to QuickTime. HTH
