I'm new to after effects so bear with me. I have been using after effects to rotobruch characters out of videos. The first project went perfectly. However on this one, when I export (using the same steps), the exported product only shows the first frame, and then 5.5 seconds of black video. What could I be doing wrong?
Your layer has been moved to the end of the footage. Use the Selection tool (v) to grab the layer in the timeline and move it to the right.
If you are new to AE you should spend at least a couple of hours with the User Guide and at least a few minutes in the Learn workspace so. you can figure out the UI. Nobody can just open AE and start using it efficiently. It requires some training.
