Feature Request - keyframe guide

Community Beginner ,
Mar 10, 2021 Mar 10, 2021

Hi there,

it would be handy (for me at least) to have subtle guide lines appear when I'm moving keyframes, so I can line them up to keyframes in other layers more easily. Also the property of the keyframes you are moving would become subtley highlighted in other layers, so it's easier to see which keyframes you're lining up to.

Cheers,

Trev

Hi Trev,

I'll share your feedback with the After Effects team. However, the right place for feature requests is UserVoice. I'd recommend that you create a new post so that it reaches the After effects team directly in the format that they want. Moreover, other users can upvote your feature request.

Thanks,

Rameez

All you have to do is hold down the shift key when dragging keyframes and they will snap to any other visible keyframe or marker's time.

Thanks Rick, it's just for those times when I have a lot of keyframes close together on multiple layers. Good tip, cheers!
