Final few frames of video freeze after exporting.

I'm exporting a file from AE and the final export plays smoothly until the last few frames and then the vision freezes. The audio is unaffected.

It has happened with a few different clips. Any ideas?

The original footage looks to be heavily compressed .mp4 footage. I am exporting to .h264 through AME. Same problem occurs with a lossless version.

I would transcode that mp4 footage to a good intermediate codec, and try it again.  You can use the replace file command to use the new file without losing any work.

    what are you video settings?

how are you playing back you video?

try this, import the video back to Ae and play it back there, is it o.k?

I'm exporting in h264 and playing back in premiere/some random windows media player.

the export process is fouled up in some way. we need to determine where exactly. what type of footage do you have there? is it compressed footage? what are your render settings/how are you exporting?

try to export a lossless version first (for example Quicktime Animation), then use this file to encode in AME?
