Flipped Horizontal Greenscreen Strips in Green Screen Composite

The following bug occurs for me fairly frequently (approx. 1 in 3 edits) when using a dynamic link between Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects: an individual frame will not render correctly with the Keylight 1.2 FX applied, giving me these strips of flipped horizontal green screen over top of the composite image.

I’m using:

  • Version 23.2.1 (build 3) of After Effects
  • Microsoft Windows 11 Pro

I do not know how to reproduce this. The problem goes away if I change the Keylight view from Final Result to Intermediate Result, but then appears again if I switch it back.

Hi JVeg,

Sorry for your issue.

Could you share the details of the footage (frame rate, frame size, format/codec) and your systems specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)? If possible, share a sample media with us for testing. Feel free to DM me the download link if you don't want to share it publically.

Looking forward to your response.

Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu

Thanks for sharing the clip and the details, JVeg.

I tried to reproduce this on my end. However, it worked the way it should. Do you mind trying to clear the cache of After Effects? If that doesn't work, go for resetting the preferences.

Let us know the outcome.

Thanks,

Nishu
