Question

GoogleEarthStudio videos always corrupted in After Effects (only!)

Ok, I understand Adobe may say this is Google's problem but since everything is fine in Premiere Pro and any other software I tend to think it is Ae to blame...

The problem is: ANY video exported as mp4 from the Google Earth Studio shows visual glitches in After Effects both in the Program monitor and in a rendered file. It looks like this (see the video attached). Always in different parts of the videos.

Can Adobe do something with this, please? Right now I have to either convert the footage to some other format, or export to a png sequence rather that to mp4 or - what I do - export a mov with alpha channel with my animation in it. This is not convevient and takes time. And I don't understand why this problem only arises in After Effects.

Hi Андрей5E17,

Thanks for creating the post.

Do you mind sharing the footage so that we can test it on our end? Feel free to DM me the download link if you don't want to share it publicly.

Looking forward to your response.

Note: Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu

Try turning off Hardware Acceleration on imported footage (or upgrade your NVIDIA drivers). You may also need to purge your cache to clear any bad frames.

Tried that, purging does not help, and the mercury renderer makes my work next to impossible 'cause it's slow. It is After Effects not Premiere Pro, so you normally deal with a lotta motion graphics in it.

Stop trying to edit and EDIT!
