Gradient only working on some shapes? (pen tool)

Thanks for reaching out.

The screenshot you shared is not helping much. Please go to the layer and press "u" two times to reveal all the modified properties and share a screenshot. The Purple color on the Gradient Editor matches the color on the shape. I am assuming that the gradient start and end points are messed up.
