Green preview line dotted??

Hi, i've been using AE for a while now, and today for some reason, my preview line is kind of dotted like this:

 

And its kind of annoying because the preview is "lagging". I have to wait for each missing frame to become green so i can preview it, and when i pause it, it becomes blue/dotted again.

I'd like to say that my resolution is full and not half, because i saw an answer to a similar post but their resolution was half.

Let's start by taking a look at your Preview Panel.
Is your Skip setting on something other than 0?
Are you previewing with a shortcut key or the clickable buttons in this panel? (You can have different settings for different shortcut keys.)

    Ahhh thank you so much! I just changed it to 0! 
    It has always been set to 1 thought, I never really paid attention to it.
