Grid View slows mac down to a crawl

Hi there,

I recently updated to the latest After Effects CC (2019) and whilst working on some motion graphics found that the real-time rendering slowed considerably if the grid view is at all enabled. I have tried to decrease the resolution to custom (12 pixels) and have checked the caching data, again no luck. Any tips on how or when this issue will be fixed would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard a few other reports of this, and believe the team is aware of it.
Doing an official bug report is always helpful, though: After Effects: Hot (958 ideas) – Adobe video & audio apps

(For what it's worth, I also use grids all the time!)

You're probably the first to report it, so no quick fixes in sight. Very few people will even use grids. I would suspect the grid drawing is not hardware-accelerated and causes a conflict with otehr accelerated functions. Feel free to report it via the official bug report form on the help and support pages.
