Hey,

I just learned that there are a couple of Blend Modes in Ps that are controlled by the "fill" opacity.

How do I reduce the fill opacity of the Layer in AE?

Is there any insturction for this?

thanxs

Effects>Channel>Calculations has a property named, "Second Layer Opacity"; see if this works for you.

Hello Roland,

i've tested it. But it does not supply the same effect as in photoshop.

In PS the color of the layer below get very nice and rich.

But in AE the calculations only reduce the dissolve effect.

The colors do not mix like in PS.

What do you use vivid light blend mode for?

And how do you control it? (vivid light, hard mix, color dodge? )

thanxs Peter

Thanks for reporting back Peter. Perhaps should add an instance of the Overlay/Softlight Blend Mode to help tweak the results to better mimic PS results.

It's been a long while since I've ventured much into Blend Modes. These days it's mostly Add/Screen/Lighten.
