I'm posting this again on here so hopefully more people will see it. So I was given a watermark overly to use for my edits. But when I make it an overlay it is fine but when my screen goes black the watermark goes white and is no longer clear. And as my edit fades out after every clip it keeps becoming white and then clear again. I just want it to be clear when the background is white. Does anyone know what to do? i have tries every different blending mode and they are all the same

It seems you misunderstand how blending modes work. Modes like Screen are not genuine transparency. that being the case, you will either have to generate proper transparency for the image like actually using it on a matte of a duplicate of itself in Normal blending mode, not screen or whatever it is you are using there and/ or you trim it to only the image areas and/ or add additional solids inbetween to retain the appearance of the blending mode. whatever works best for your situation.

Oh okay thank you. I was just a little confused because all the videos I have seen it does not do that. Is there any way of showing me how I can make it work?
