hi i have been try to make a preroll video for my home theater setup and am having a problem.

i can create a working video in classic 3d mode with out issue.

as soon as i chnge the settings to cinema 4d the last pice of text i added is not showing or included.

the text i'm adding is a duplicate of working text. i have also tried adding new text. it all works while in classic 3d mode, but as soon as i change the setting to cinema 4d, the new/duplicate text is not rendered. that part of my file just shows the backdrop.

fyi, i'm new and this is my forst project. i did follow a guide to start.

here's a link to the guide.

even if i go back to classic 3d in the settings my second line of text comes back.

it seems to only disappear if i turn on cinema 4d.

i aslo tried to export the file but in the finished avi the second line of text does not show up.

with being so new i'm sure i'm not explaining this very well.

please if someone can help or point me in the right direction it woukd be much appreciated.

tnx

sorted it out, not sure what was wrong with my first attempt.

i just started over from scartch and it's working.

with being new i'm sure i hit a setting and messed it up. i was unable to figure out what was the issue.

The problem may have been because of blend modes or not looking at the active camera. When you have this kind of problem in the future please select the layer that is giving you problems, press "uu" to reveal all modified properties, then post a screenshot. If there is footage involved it is also a good idea to have the footage selected in the Project Panel so we can see what kind of footage you are dealing with. Something like this:

That shows every modified property for every layer except the camera. If I didn't have a shadow from the text it would be obvious that either the text layer was not set to cast shadows, or the floor layer was not set to receive shadows, or the light was not set to cast shadows.

ok i just duplicated the text, moved it on the timeline. rendered with settings cinema 4d. it works.

changed the text to my text, it does not work.

could it be there are to many words?

i'm going from one word to three words.
