Hi all,
Can anyone tell me how to open an AE project with lots of missing files quickly and easily? We had to do a massive data move and our assets are in a new location. So when I open an AE 2021 project it makes me hit ok for each missing file. Is there a way to "ignore all"?
thanks for any help!

The latest AE is 17.7 and is still technically a 2020 version, ie, there has been no official announcement to call it a 2021 version. I've just checked with 17.7 and AE provides a single notification for ALL missing video files.
What type of assets do you have? And just out of pure desperation, when you click OK, have you tried adding one or more modifier (SHIFT, ALT,CTRL - or any combo of these three) keys?

Thanks for your suggestions Roland. I just tried it with AE 18.0 with the same result. The error is in reference to png sequences. I did try the modifiers you've suggested and "shift+ctr" does switch the message to show the file name and the number of missing frames. But no way to ingore all.

Hi,
in stead of opening a project with missing files, you can create a new project and import the previous project like you would import footage. You'll get a summary window about missing fonts, effects and the total count of missing footage.
'Ignore All'-buttons should be mandatory by law for every dialog box.

Thanks Wim. Agreed, Ingore All should be mandatory!:() Thanks for the suggestion. I will just turn missing assets back online and wait for sync to catch up. Our film has 330,000 files so we are just putting some offline temporarily to save disk space. Occasionally we have to pop back into an older .aep for reference and I was looking for a shortcut.
