I think you can replace it. Go to X:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 2022\Support Files\sounds (with X being your own drive letter) and replace snap.wav with e.g. a quieter version of it. The name and extension must be the same.

This is one of the first things I always do after an After Effects update. I delete all files inside the sounds folder. In my opinion it is quite childish to have such sounds in a professional software. Or at least have the option in the preferences to deactivate them and not getting shocked after taking a screenshot everytime when a new update has been installed. Because the files will be copied back in again.

 

Where does the "hairbrush" sound appear anywa? Or the "samurai" sound?

 

Please Adobe at least give us a checkbox to deactivate these sounds.
