Question

How does a MGJSON look like?

I saw that the 2018 edition came with a new feature for importing data from JSON and MGJSON. From my understanding, a MGJSON file has a timeline and is easier to integrate to AE. But I can't find any documentation, references to or examples of this filetype anywhere.

If somebody have any documentation or know how the syntax of such a document is and if it even is simple enough to edit through a text editor, let me know!
I'd love to be able to try this feature out.

I managed to find these documents, but I haven't a clue where the link to the originals is. It was saved as SensorManager-PluginSDK-CC201804.zip but I cannot upload a zip here. I hope that gives people more to go on. Thanks to @0kajuna0 for his help so far, and his conversion tool and templates, really useful to get a grip on things from my pleb level.

Hi, I just built a demo mgjson file to understand how the format works.

GitHub - JuanIrache/mgjson: A sample file of Adobe's mgJSON format

There's also a link where you can download the package containing Adobe's schema for the format.

UPDATE: You can now convert CSV, GPX and maybe soon other files to mgJSON here: To mgJSON

As far as I know, documentation for mgJson is not released yet, but folks at Adobe are working on it. So, hopefully, we can get our hands dirty soon.

Any updates on MGJSON as they have started supporting this particular file type? Tomas Sinkunas
