Does anyone have a good tutorial video on how to rig a kissing animation between two characters? most of the videos i find are only to teach how to rig a person to walk, show expressions, wave, but i havent seen one to make two animated characters realistically makeing out, I wouldnt even know where to begin of the lip rigging and the body rigging can anyone help me out?

rigging is rigging.  Joints rotate and muscles shorten and bulge or lengthen and narrow which I imagine could be achieved through maybe a lattice deformer?  There literally thousands of muscles in the face and to even simulate 5 of them would be complex. And there's foreshortening involved too.  😕😕

And "making out" is a whole other thing than kissing.   You probably should shoot for cartoonish rather than realistic.  Especially considering the assets.  I mean they don't even have lips...so,

Short answer:  No, I know of no tutorials on how to make two flat images realistically makeout.

But heres a reference of 2D characters making out. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pX6f_K8hSk If you look for tutorials on all of AE deformation tools you should be able to figure out what you need to do.  Puppet tool?  Latice deformer?  But again...I think you're in deeper water than you realize.

Well truthfully i dont really want to figure out what rig would be realistic, iv done rigging before of duik bassel but just of rigging the entire structure of a character, where i can wave his hand, make him do a kick, make him bring his head up, i just dont know how exactly i would move his joints and face with the other to make them kiss where it looks realistic,

Could i upload a video scene of two animated characters kiss, track their movement and then incoperate it in my characters? Or like how when you put connect an entire rig structure to your character and then if you press the walk option on duik bassel the character starts to walk without me having to move his legs my self and record it, could i upload one to the duik bassel to go along with its auto walk, and it could be one i found online they if you put into a program like duik bassel and have their character completey rigged it would do an auto action in this case a kiss?

Probably not unless you found character built very similar to yours.

And IDK about any kissing preset program

Disclaimer;  I'm not a character animator.  I know a little 3d rigging but I've never

bothered any more than very basic stuff for AE.

What i would try to do (and i would likely fail miserably) is (after i'd built my basic rig:) start with the the big movements. The translation of the whole bodies and the larg arms, legs, torso and head rotations.  Big movements, no details, the "key frames".

That rig would be some system of "bones" or the puppet tool or just layered images parented correctly with their anchorpoints servin as joints?

Then I would try precomposing that and applying various deformers to the composited animation.  to get the more nuanced in-between frames.  Just like with drawing.  You put in the basic forms first then go back and add the detail.

Honestly it's too advanced for me when it comes rigging faces.  Anything more than a jaw rotation or a smile or a blink and I'm in a strange land. And even with everything Ive said it would look stiff and blocky and like two detailed stick figures.  I could probably figure something out if i had a week or three.  Maybe things would be easier if you cut to tight shot of

their faces for the make out.  Use a deformer on the lips...throw in some eye blinks, add some bulge effect to the cheeks.  It all depends on understaning your own limitations so you can move past them.  And more importantly knowing the tools in your toolbox.  When all you know how to use is hammer you start looking at everything like a nail.

Without any idea about what your graphics look like nobody can advise specifically. You need to provide some sample fram and how you want it to look. This can be anything from hyper complex if you really want to simulate every facial muscle movement to simply slapping on a distortion effect for a bit of pout.

Well actually their a 2d design so their will not be much detail of facial muscles
