How to center an object between two guidelines in after effects?

There is an Align Panel in AE that works pretty much the same as the Align Panel in Illustrator. Your choices are composition or selection. AE's align works on actual layer size taking into account scale and rotation, understands shape layers and text layers, but will not distribute multiple objects on a single shape layer.
