How to change Aspect Ratio without resizing the comp?

Question

I sometimes work with 4:3 or 32:9 videowalls but the file must be FHD 1920x1080.

I can't enter the correct ratio. I always have to import a picture created in Photoshop with that size and aspect so that after effects create a correct composition.

I tried making a template with that comp but it only works for the session, if you exit AE and come next day, the preset creates a comp with the correct size but the ratio will be wrong .

Is there anyway to create an aspect ratio template to add to the ones at the drop down list?

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in. I created a comp with a 1920*1440 resolution that gave me the 4:3 ratio. I am able to save a preset with this setting and use it on a new project. It works fine for me. If it's not what you're looking for, do you mind sharing more details? A screen recording that shows the problem would be helpful.
