How to create a complete wrap with CC Cylinder?

Question

So I figured out that the grow bounds tool has an influence on the wrap of the text - but if I want a complete seamless 360 wrap, parts will be cut off. And when I increase the bounds - I will get an increasingly bigger gap.

I don't know if it matters but this is a shape layer and not a text field.

How can I get it seamlessly wrapped?

Text and shape layers have the same dimensions as the comp frame. Unless your line of Text or your Shape Layer is wide enough or big enough to fill the entire comp frame, you will end up with a gap.

You have two options to keep the text from distorting. The easiest solution is to increase the font or shape layer scale until it fills the comp frame. You can adjust the scale after applying CC Cylinder until the layer frame touches the comp frame. If you are using text, you can also increase the tracking or font size to fill the layer. Another option is to pre-compose the text or shape layer and then use the Region of Interest tool in the new comp to crop to include only the area you want to wrap, then use the Composition/Crop Composition to Region of Interest menu to resize the comp.

If you use the Sphere tool, the layer you want to wrap should have a 2:1 ratio to avoid distortion.
