How to make the mask outline "line" as thin as possible?

This quesiton has so many generic terms, it's impossible to find in Google.

When making a simple mask, is it possible to make the connecting lines (that connect the points) as thin as possible?

It's hard to do a fine detailed mask when the line itself is blocking the image border.

(I'm only using a 1 pixel feather, so I need a really tight mask line.)

Thanks very much!

The Magnification Factor in the Lower Left Corner of the comp panel is what you are looking for.  You can also change the color of the mask path. Here I am splitting the line between pixels, and I've changed the mask path color to white so it is easier to see. It is very easy to be accurate when you are looking at pixels magnified 800%.

There can be no such thing as a line thinner than one pixel, antialaised or not, so I'm not sure what you are hoping for. If zooming in doesn't do it for you, then nothing else will.
