How to make Trapcode particles fade out at random times?

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to make the particles in the image dissapear at random points as they go down the system (they are being emitted from the pill in the stomach). I can make this happen, but I don't like how they instantly dissapear, is there a way to make them fade out randomly as time goes on as opposed to dissapearing?

thanks in advance

Correct answer Jose Panadero

Enter into Opacity Over Life category. The you can create a fade out for every particles as soon as they reach their end of life.

Change the Life Random parameter so none of your particles will dead at the same time. This way you can fade out them randomly.

Changing the Life Random parameter makes them dissapear instantly, is there a way to make it so they fade out instead of instantly vanishing?

Played around with that paarameter and it worked! Many thanks Jose!

For future people, here is an example of the settings I used. Opacity Life and Opacity Random were changed to create the result I wanted. The graph was made like that so they start fading away in the last part of their journey.
