How to purge RAM

My project file is 780 kb but After Effect used more than 10 GB of RAM.

I try purge memory & cleand cahce, delete temp adobe file and its going back to 10 GB used of RAM.

How to reduce RAM usage in AE 23.2.1?

    Let's do some simple math:

     

    8000 x 4500 (pixels) x 8 (bit) x 4 (channels) ~ 1.1 GB of memory usage.

     

    Rinse-repeat for multiple layers, effects buffers, whatnot. There is nothing to purge because the memory is actually required to hold the pixel data. The file size of the project itself doesn't matter at all for this.
