I can't import my mp3

I am using ae but ae says mp3 files are not supported.

*wav files are not supported. Please provide a solution as soon as possible.

what do you mean with "wav files are not supported"?

wav file always supported by AE so you need to transcode your mp3 file to WAV

Support of an MP3 depends on how it was compressed. There are a lot of different options. 

 

The standard for video production is WAV PCM 48Hkz 16 bit or AIFF with the same specifications. You can probably transcode your unsupported MP3 files using the Adobe Media Encoder or even use iTunes to export WAV files.
