Imported projects loses animation and template

I want to import this animation into another project so they transition one into the other, they are the same dimensions. There are a few scrolling and interaction animations in this project.

However, when I import it into the other file, it comes out oversized, and the animation is completely lost, the layers are all placed on top of each other. I'm new to this, is there any way to fix this? Any help would be great.
