Can't install stardust because my AE installed in unusual place on sector of my second hard drive. So can I just install it on my main hard drive and then replace installed folders to right place

    Correct answer Tominger

It's been a while, but i ran across this problem just yesterday. The Solution for me was to copy the preset files, which the installation put into my documents folder into the presets folder of the plugin. But Attention the Plugin has it's own prests folder. So you'll have to navigate to /Applications/Adobe After Effects 2025/Plug-ins/Stardust/Presets and NOT to the AE Presets.

I hope this helps anyone who runs into this in the future.

Also interesting that plugin has been installed successfully but plugin or AE doesn't see presets.so I just need to upload presets for it somehow, (I even found this installed presets but in wrong place).

If the installer does not find the right folders you may be in trouble. Unless you are a real expert in system management with your OS it's not a very good idea to choose a custom install location for any complex app, and AE is extremely complex. I'm not sure what or where stardust installs elements. They could easily be in four or five different folders and some of them may be hidden or require administrator privileges to access.

If you run into problems you can't solve the best idea is to contact the developer.
