We have 3D printed parts of a rifle and I am doing a video of bits spread out clicking into place, like a stock animation but want it to be more flowing and so was going to use interpolation keyframes however, how do this in AE? tutorials I see use drawn shapes, not photos of stuff (taking photos on a green screen) is this possible? If so how do I go about it? Thank you!

Import the folder of images into After Effects

Drag the folder from the Project panel onto the New Comp button

In the New comp from Selection box, choose to "Sequence Layers" - you can add in a crossfade if you wish and choose its duration.

This will play the images in a sequence but to retime it and change the speed etc, follow the next step.

Drag the composition onto the New Comp button to nest it into a New comp

Selected the nested comp layer and the go to Layer > Enable time Remapping

Now you can keyframe the images to whatever timing you like.
