Is it possible to select which audio track from mp4 to use

I have a mp4 that has 4 audio tracks and I need to select which one to use in after effects,
Can I do this in app or do I have to export a temporary audio file every time.

      No. AE's audio still is limited to basic stereo or whatever the first two channels of a file are. You have to use Audition or Premiere to splice things up.

        Wondering why we can't just get a bare-bones audio track selection tool for After Effects, at least so we can preview one or more tracks embedded in the video?
