Is there a global effects Mute for after effects?

Just read about this for premiere.  does it work in after effects too?

I have many effects layered inside comp, after comp.   Is there a fast way to disabling them all for quick full resolution preview?

good point. no master switch to turn out effects in after effects. I can get the logic why this is not a feature because you usually do effects in after effects and if there are no effects, what's there to see? but at least give us a shortcut to turning it off on a layer right?

you usually need to toggle this icon on or off to do this

but in CC2018 finally there's the shortcut editor (we stole it from premiere)

so Alt+E is free and as of today my new shortcut for switching on an effect

and for you, you could select all (Ctrl+A) and disable effects (Alt+E - assign it first)

This is awesome, and I was Super excited about it.....until I tried it.

It doesn't work if some of the layers selected have no effects. So, you know, layers like Nulls? Those Might have effects, but usually not right?
