Issue using CC Cylinder

Hello every body,

I'm trying to animate this leaf to feel like it's flying in the wind and I saw on a tutorial that CC Cylinder would be nice.

However when I am adding the effect to my leaf object, it just makes it disappear.. 

I know that it's only a 2D effect so I made sure that my leaf isn't a 3D object but still it doesn't work.

You can see in the screenshot bellow that the leaf only appears when I unchecked the FX box.

Any advices on this?
