Question

Keyboard shortcut resets every time I reopen After Effects

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone has more insight than me to this problem.

I've changed a few shortcuts and they all worked fine expect for one, which is CMD+M = Add to render queue.

Everytime I open an After Effects file and am ready to render and press CMD+M it hides my After Effects.

When I go to check on my keyboard shortcuts, it shows me that CMD+M is saved. And then I click "OK" and it works after that.

But as soon as I change projects and open an new After Effects file, my shortcut isn't working again. And I have to open my keyboard shortcuts again and press "OK" again.

This can't go on like this. Anyone with same issues here ??

You likely will have to re-configure this in your system settings. Cmd+M is the default key to hide windows on Mac and depending on your region and language settings there may simply be a conflict there. not saying it should be this way and certainly AE is at fault here, but the solution is outside AE it seems...
