Keyboard Shortcuts | Label Colors

Hey, community,

Can we "change label colors" with keyboard shortcuts in After Effects?

I'm asking because I've tried this with my Numpad keys, and it's only selecting layers after I've created the shortcuts. Maybe there's something in system settings I'm missing? I've even attempted a shift + 1 (Numpad) command, and it's still only selecting layers and not changing the label color for me.

In Premiere Pro, this works fine. I select a number from my numpad and can change label colors this way; I wonder why the same wouldn't apply in After Effects.

    Thanks for writing in, John.

    I am on a Mac using the latest version of After Effects. I created some shortcuts for the color labels and they work just fine.

    What's the version of After Effects you're using? Also, are you on a Mac or Windows? Could you share a screen recording of the issue?

    We're here to help, just need more info.
