Hello AE community, I've been working on AE since more than 10 years now and have never encountered an issue like this. There was an issue on one of my projects regarding keylight a couple of months back and I had to do with another keying effect on it. However, post that Keylight seems to be missing from my effects altogether. I've tried everything from re-installing to moving the plugin folder in the Applications but nothing seems to work. Have attached a couple of screengrabs for reference.
Has anyone else encountered such an issue? What's the fix for it? I'm running on an Intel MacOS and the latest version of AE if that helps. Highly appreciate any help. Thanks a ton in advance!
Hi @rishmal,
Thank you for reporting this issue. Is it possible that Keylight has been deactivated in the Effect Manager? You'll find it under the Effects menu.
Thanks for reporting this issue and for any further information you can provide,

Hi John,
Where could I download Keylight_1.2_AE.pdf as mine has been removed due to a crash on my AE, I have been struggling to find where to download the plugin ever since. It won't show up on my Effect manager either.

You shouldn't need a PDF in order to use Keylight. See if Keylight is showing up inside the Effect Manager (accessible under Effects > Manage Effects...) when disabling "Only Show Third-Party Effects" and searching for "keylight"—Keylight 1.2 is considered a first-party effect by the Effect Manager. If the Keylight effect still isn't showing up in the Effect Manager, I'd recommend uninstalling and reinstalling After Effects via the Creative Cloud app.

My gosh John!! You're a saviour, it was deactivated indeed. I feel silly trying to solve bigger problems and not checking this basic thing. I was in this tangle since almost a month, and you sir have saved the day for me. Thank you so much!

I'm glad that was the solution, @rishmal! The Effect Manager was introduced recently (23.4) so it isn't yet the first thing to reach for in these scenarios.

My Chroma Key Filter itself is missing. In fact under effects and presets list the chroma key filter/effect is categorized as MISSING. The effect is also missing from my Effects Manager List.
