Hi, I want to put my after effect in english but it's in french and when I go to preference to change the language to english, it's still french

Uninstall the application from Creative Cloud Desktop App and reinstall but before reinstalling change the language to English. Look at the screenshots and follow the steps.

There is another option apart from the one Byron suggest you. Create a txt document with the name ae_force_english.txt and put in your User's Documents folder. It is important to create the text in text plain format (you can do it with Notepad on windows or Textedit on macOS). Once you put this document in your documents folder, AE will launch in English.
