Layer seems to change oppacity as soon as Track Matte is applied

Hi, im pretty new to AfterEffects

I want to apply a Track Matte to a layer but as soon as do so the layer (which the track matte is applied to) seems to change the oppacity / becomes darker. I havent found anything on the internet about it so i figured i might ask y'all 🙂

thanks in advance, I really have no idea

 

first screenshot shows the layers as they should look (before i apply the track matte)

okay nevermind, i solved it. Hadn't looked in the tranformation effect where the oppacity of the polygon was set on 36%. anyway how do I delete this post lmao
