I don't think you find a tutorial that gives you exactly that effect but I can quickly tell you what it involves.

Starting at the bottom of the timeline you need the source footage. It is most efficient if the comp is limited to a single shot so put each edited shot in a new comp.

The next layer would be a shape layer path with a stroke only that you would draw with the pen tool that is exactly the path you want the energy beam to follow. You will not use this for the effect, you just need a clear path that you can see.

The next layer is the layer you will use for the effect. There are several ways to achieve this kind of glowing beam effect. Probably the easiest is to just use a copy of your path layer and add dashes and gaps, animate the offset and add + blur + Glow. Play around with the settings and you'll get something like this pretty quickly.
