Learning useful composition terms and how to use them for 2D animation
Hi! I'm new to the AE community and new to learning the program. I know some very basic things, and I’d like to learn more about the most useful terms to understand more complex compositions or to create my own, especially for 2D animation.
For example, I want to give an effect a limited time, and then make it come back later in the same layer. Or I want a loop to also have a time or frame limit. I’m not sure if I’m explaining this well, English is not my first language 😞
I know basic things like how to make a loop and add effects, simple things like -loopOut("cycle")-, which applies for the whole time of the animation.
So I tried looking for a glossary in After Effects, but after reading to understand some terms, I felt like I wasn’t getting anywhere. I’d like to understand the order in which expressions should be written, and what the difference is between setting a time limit and a frame limit in a composition.
I’d really appreciate any help, especially if someone has a glossary more focused on animation.
