linear wipe transition start from the middle

Question

HiI'm trying to use the Linear Wipe effect instead of Mask Tracking. The cover of the element begins in the middle of the keyframes and not with the first keyframe and ends before the last keyframe.Attached is a screenshot with all the dataThanks

Effects operate on the entire layer, not just the shape group item. for shape layers, the layer size is always an invisible container matching the composition dimensions. That being the case, you have to adjust the transition center and adjust the wipe values, which will then never be 0 and 100 percent. To avoid suich a confusing workflow you may want to pre-compose your shape to a suitably tight square composition and apply the transition in teh parent comp.
