Hi,

I am looking for a plugin or template in After Effects that can create similar effects like this tool:

https://store.pixelfilmstudios.com/product/prohighlight/

Unfortunately, they only make it for MACs.

Does anyone know of any plugin for PCs that can create these types of effects?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Simon

Agree with Rick. That's pretty much standard AE stuff. The various motion patterns can easily be created once and then saved as an animation preset to be reused over and over and there's a million ways to mask out stuff in AE. It may not be as instantaneous and intuitive, but it is barely much more complicated.

All of what you see there is pretty straight forward in AE. It does require a little more handwork than using FCP or Motion, but it's not automatic in either of those programs either. If you are new to AE it is going to take a while, but if you have some experience it is pretty easy to set up those kinds of animated titles and stroke overlays. All you need is the pen tool, a shape layer, and Trim Paths. If the camera is moving you have to throw in some motion or camera tracking, but that is also fairly straight forward, especially with Mocha AE.
