Magic bullet looks presets wont appear in ae

when i downloaded mbl presets it appears in the custom looks folder but in after effects it wont appear and i cant find the preset within ae . When i try opening the preset file by its own ae says "unsupported file type or extension" . Someone help please thanks

if you've fixed it pls let me know because for mine when i go on looks and the settings icon to add it when i press the icon nothing pops up like i keep pressing it and nothing pops up if that makes sense

We are all dumb lol

If its a preset all you have to do is move it into the preset folder and drag into the adjustment layer

-copy and paste the coloring into

windows: C:\Users\name\OneDrive\Documents\Adobe\After Effects 2020\User Presets

-then restart after effects and put it in the adjustment layer

(found all this out after hours of trying to get the older version and almost smashing my computer)

Hello bro,

i have the exact same problem as you.

i downloaded MBL last week and up till now when i click on “Edit”

no tab opens

i thought maybe I downloaded a wrong version but no

i downloaded about 4 more versions and they gabe me the same results.

i’m almost crying now..

i even installed AE2020 and see if it’s because ae 2022 is not compatible but i was wrong...

it still didn’t work on AE 2020 and 2022

My edits work in the Magic Bullet window but when I press the check mark to bring them into After Effects only the diffusion effect shows and nothing else. Anyone have the fix yet?

I just updated magic bullet on my laptop and im having the same issue. I have a previous version of MB on my imac and it works just fine. Could it be a bug in the latest MB? The effects look like they are working in the MB editor but when I apply it just makes everything darker with some diffusion.

Hello,

I've uninstalled the newer version 15 and installed the older version 14.3 instead and all the presets come back as they should. Hopefully they will figure out what is going on and fix it. I've submitted a support ticket a week ago but no response yet.

Search for Magicbullet Looks on window, right click on it and press " open fileway" then you will come to magicbullet again, you press "open fileway" again.

- Remove "Looksbuilder"

- Copy "Magic bullet looks"

- Rename the new copy to Looksbuilder.

- Close and open AE.

Excuse my poor english, hope this helps!

hi. when you press edit after adding it to your clip, at the top there will be a settings icon and if you press that it should let u import your presets. hope this helps ! 🙂

hi, could you please explain how exactly to do this? mine is not working still, it doesn't let me import them.

I dont know if I understood correctly, but

1. open your composition
2. search for the effect "Looks" and aply it to your clip
3. go into the editor
4. on the left are all your presets (like in the picture i added)

Go to (C:)/ Program Files x86/ Looksbuilder/ Looks

And you should be able to accesss the folder!
