Making 1D pictures 3D?

I am looking to make simple 1 dimensional images (posed family photos) to 3D (or is it 2D?)

I simply want to be able to cut out the backgrounds the the images and keep the people (photoshop - I know how to do this).

I want to be able to track left to right/vice versa, 'jib' type shots and lock them into place to do so.

How do I do this?

Sort of sounds like you're just asking how to remove elements from a 2D image.  The answer is masking or erase what you don't want in photoshop

There's no such thing as 1 dimensional images.  Every image or layer has 2 dimension , X (left and right)  & Y (up and down)

The third dimension is Z (forward & backward).  Technically the z dimension is always faked as the screen you are viewing it on is always 2 dimensions.  So even three dimensions is really 2 dimensions placed in simulated Z space (faked 3D space).

Why don't you just google how to make Jib Jab style videos?
