Media encoder unable to connect to dynamic server

For the past year I've been having the same issue with After Effects & Media Encoder. 

Dynamic link server rarely connects, making Me redundant and having to export in Ae which takes 5x as long. 

We've tried a variety of versions of the software and it's inconsistently working correctly. Probably exporting through Me less than 10% of the time. 

The files have been dragged in from finder, Ae, and through the Ae - file - export channels and none make a difference. 

Mac & CC software all up to date. Currently on Sanoma 14.5 (23F79) and have tried all the suggested troubleshooting methods to no avial. 

Is this being worked on to be solved, or will it always be an issue causing simple exports to take over 7 hours through Ae?! I can see it's been mentioned through these posts for years now.

That's not ideal.

The first thing to check is if the same After Effects and Media Encoder are installed. I am positive that you've done that already. Are you using any third-party plug-ins in your projects? If so, can you remove the plug-ins (for testing purposes) and see if that brings any change? Is it a work computer or a personal one? Are your files stored on network storage?

Hi Nishu, 

I can confirm that 'Connect fonts' was causing the issue. 

Once I'd unchecked Ae from the 'manage plugins' menu this seemed to solve the issue. 

And since, Connect fonts has updated and both seem to be back in sync.
