Was having the same problem, reinstalled, put it in every old AE Plugins folder, etc. Did you recently downloaded the Beta Ae version? For whatever reason some 3rd party plugins don't work with the beta version and have been turned off for ALL versions of Ae. Go to Effects Manager (Effect/Manage Effects...) from the menu bar  & enable All 3rd part effects. That fixed it for me. Hope that works.

    OMG, that was actually the issue, although I don't have the BETA version, the saber was turned off. Thank you!!
