Mocha AE will not open image at full resolution

When I open any image using the Mocha AE effect I get the warning, "The host is not set to full resolution. Tracking at reduced resolution can be faster but is less accurate. Do you wish to continue tracking at proxy resolution?" If I click "Continue" it takes me to the Mocha AE interface and a super low-res version of my image.

  • AE version 24.4.1 (Build 2)
  • my Resolution is set to Full
  • it doesn't seem to matter which image I use; I get the same result

Did I accidentally change a setting I'm not aware of?

You can replicate the conditions in seconds:

  • open a new After Effects project
  • import any image
  • create a new composition with that image
  • add the Mocha AE effect to the image layer
  • click the Mocha logo in the effect

I'd love to know what happens for you.

Your composition panel is set to Auto-resolution. Set it to Full by clicking on the (Auto) option at the bottom of the Composition Panel.

Ugh. I'm not going to say I already tried that (I did) because it would have to have worked, and I don't understand how Auto (Full) isn't sufficient, but many thanks for your attention to this this Rick!
