Morphing several individual photos into one logo

Hi, 

I just opened After Effects for the first time and having been researching for hours. We have an annual meeting coming up where there are hundreds of single photos we are turning into basically a slide show. However, I want to create a separate video of several of those photos coming into our logo. The idea from the movie Friends with Benefits where the flash mob people morph into the GQ logo. This is what i'm trying to replicate. 

Any ideas or help is much appreciated!!
