Motion tile not working

I'm new to after effects and i just started watching some tutorials on basic transitions. All of them were suggesting to add motion tile and then click mirror edges. However mirror edges doesn't seem to be working properly.

I figured it out! I was editing a video from YouTube and i forgot to crop it.
