My After Effects file has completely disappeared from my mac - using google drive

I opened an after effects file from the 'Edit original' option in Premiere, made some edits, saved the AE file and the AE file completely disappeared. The file is nowhere to be found in Finder, trash, or on google drive in general. Help anyone?

Damn, It happened to me too yesterday - Exactly the way you described it!

I've managed to recover the lost AE file with recover data software but it was corrupted and I couldn't fix it.

Luckily I've lost just 3.5 hours of work but who knows when it will happen again, I am not sure what made it disappear.

I have the same proñblem... the file just desappear... and the autosave files are to old... this is a mayor error.

That's not ideal. Sorry that happened to you.

Have you tried looking for the files in the Auto Save folder? It should be at the same location as your After Effects project file.
