My After effects stops previewing all of a sudden

My After effects stops previewing all of a sudden and does not playback the animation at all. Also the caps lock button is off but nothing is playing but the timeline is still moving.

Please Help!!!!!

My Computer is an HP Pavillion 12gram Corei7

Could your Region of Interest be clicked on?

Happened to me the other day and I didn't spot my mistake for ages. Somehow I'd activate it and dragged a tiny region.

Does it happen with different types of media files?
Have you tried switching GPU Acceleration off or on under File > Project Settings > Video Rendering and Effects?
Which GPU is installed on your machine?
